I WANT TO BE YOU WHEN I GROW UP

I’ve contemplated whether or not to hand down my D7000 to Lei. There were so many choices to pick on which would better fit for her tiny hands. I’ve thought of a point in shoot or even having her learn from her iPod touch. But I felt it was time. The right time happened when she magically asked my mother for a photography book. That’s where I knew she quietly paid attention to what I do now for a living and that made my world happy. She never asked to play with my camera so I was a little surprised. I asked my friend Tracy on her thoughts about a camera for a six year old. She gave me the idea, why not just buy one of her cameras which was a nikon d50. Same price or maybe less than a point and shoot and it looks identical to my D610. It was perfect! It was the right camera to learn from. I’ll probably post her progress. Which right now is a tad bit difficult, because I seriously want to start her off in manual. So for now AUTO will be her best friend until she learns the basics of her camera.
