CEILI AND JUSTIN: MARRIED (NEW ORLEANS, LA) 1920s AND 1930s
We absolutely love all the pictures!!! You did a fantastic job and your assistant Alan also did a great job!! We are very thankful!
This was such a special day. Together both of them finally tied the knot along side with all their friends and family on March 7, 2014. I've been privileged that they thought of me to be the one to capture the moments of their bond together. Ceili and Justin are so special to so many. I've learned so much about them within these few months. They have such big hearts by making you always feel special no matter what role you play in their lives. I got to experience these strong bonds by how they interact with their family, especially their friends. And boy do they have a lot of friends. Their family and friends traveled from all over. Traveling from Texas, Tennessee and even New Jersey, it just truly shows how much they are adored by so many to want to spend this special event with them.
Their theme was filled with glitz, glam and sparkles. When I first heard about their theme the 1920's-1930's it was perfect timing. Around that time is when the movie the Great Gatsby was released and by then I know their juices were flowing with so many ideas. The wedding was epic! It wasn't traditional like so many, this had class and the thought of everyone wearing outfits from that era made me giddy. Can you tell how much I loved the idea? The thought of what to wear included flapper dresses and suits Great Gatsby style. They welcomed you to be creative, and who doesn't love a great costume party? So I was amazed how much everyone participated in making sure their dreams did come into play in all their planning. To top it off, Ceili and Justin had the help from their family and long time friend Erin from It's You're Time Events. It was such a privilege working with her to make sure everything was on schedule because that's what we all want for the bride to not be overwhelmed with so much going on that day.
My first stop was at their hotel at the Courtyard Marriott in Downtown New Orleans where I spent most of the day capturing her details of her beautiful gown and rings. One thing I want to say about this hotel is that it really fit with their theme. With exposed high beams and exposed brick walls, it reminded me of an old baseball stadium. It was a perfect fit for them, because of their love of baseball. Which is one of their hobbies they both do on weekends as well as traveling.
The bouquet was so close to her heart. She really kept it in the family when it came to planning this wedding. All the flower arrangements from the bouquet to the boutonniere and all the table arrangements are from Leonard Kinler her Paran (Godfather) from Artistic Design. What’s better than keeping it all in the family?
In her room she made preparations for her family with hair and make-up provided by Heather and her awesome staff, from Flawless Bride while she spent the first few hours at her Nanny Valerie's salon at Salon La Rouge who also happened to give Ceili her gorgeous hairstyle for the day.
She got his initials embroidered, such a nice touch to add to such a nice suite. Did I mention his suit is a limited edition Great Gatsby suit from Brooks Bros?
After the first look, which played out so well. We had some time to take some images of the bride and groom. Before departing to the venue at Chateau Country Club where the ceremony and reception took place.
Incase you are all wondering about the napkins? It's a tradition in New Orleans, LA to celebrate with a Second line dance. It's usually done in the streets of New Orleans, but why not take it indoors? Everyone participated and enjoyed dancing and great food. I don't even know if the bride and groom even had time to sit down that night. They enjoyed socializing with everyone who came to celebrate their big day.
What is this? Well that's Frenchy from Frenchylive . How awesome is this, he captured the whole reception. Pretty awesome to have something that was such a huge impact hanging on their wall.
Well Ceili and Justin, congratulations again and again!! You guys are truly amazing. I wish you all the best with a new chapter in your lives. You two truly deserve it.
